Would anybody have an old copy they could sell me of CCC from about Oct/Nov 98 i think.

It featured myself and Derek Hodders first cars in the "at the clinic feature".

Would just like to remember what it looked like before it became banana shaped.

Just found this on another forum

I just read a mention on another website that Car & Car Conversons Magazine is defunct. Suspicious, I checked CCCs webpage which now points to IPC Medias "Other Motoring Magazines" and there is no way to make a subscription to CCC via the web.

A breif call to IPC Media's subscription line confirmed the worst. CCC magazine has ceased publication effective immediately. It seems CCC staff didnt know that as there was no clue in this months (October) magazine and they made mention of tests for next months issue. For those of us with subscriptions, the guy at IPC said we'd get a letter from CCC Editorial (another IPC dept) asking us what we wanted to do with our remaining subscription money.

Right now, my vote would be for 'Hold a wake for the dead' :(

The last decent performance car mag in the UK has died. We're left with the slim-technical-pickings found hidden between pictures of topless women and adverts for phone sex in the likes of Max Power magazine.

And may god have mercy on us all....

never bought one for ages and I didn't know it had died when did that happen

October 2003 was the final issue I think, Best replacement is Practical Performance Car with Dave Walker and crew, along the same lines as CCC and a good read.

Having worked for CCC in a previous life, I can confirm it died sometime ago.

However, the spiritual successor to it is Track and Race Car magazine, published by Unitry Media, who I believe bought the rights from Haymarket or IPC.
