Was rather a good event.

I had a chat with Jason and it seems that they 'may' be up for running another event if enough interest was shown... Also it would mean that they can leave the track setup.

I intend writing a letter of thanks on behalf of the Surrey group... if the other attending areas do the same... who knows.

Are you the guy who...

*waves*

@mb893

Had a chat with one of the marshalls who was unofficially timing cars past his post on both days.

He reckons no one got within 2 seconds a lap (!) of you on the Thursday, but the 360 CS was nearly as quick on Friday.  :t-up:

Are you the guy who lent me the brake cleaner?

If so, it was sitting near my spare wheel in the hanger area with a thank you note.

I looked for you after the last session but think you must have gone.

I must say a big thank for your help that day.

Suggest you drop a new 2.3 Duratec in there and show 'em who's boss next year?!?

Best regards

Was he referring to you or me?... I presumed he meant you!?!

Fact is, never mananged to catch you up or even see you! - So you were definitely putting in some super fast laps...

You probably went out in the first few cars to be released? I was told a top tip for trackdays although whether this holds true or not I'm not sure?...

"always try to get out last in your group, hang back and take it easy for the first lap... after which you've got two games to play: (1) how many cars can you overtake, and (2) how many cars can you avoid being lapped by."

You also get to see my spin which was uneventful really. I must have gone over some oil

Was this in the third session ?

If so then you probably spun on my oil after the bottom of my sump was cracked , i think the damage was done where we crossed the bottom end of the runway before the tyre chicanes past the hangers.

I spun on my own oil into the first chicane :arse:

Concensus is my suspension setting was too soft, allowing it to ground at the little `JUMP`over the runway

Sounds like a fantastic day guys, really sad I couldn't make it, but after having 4 threads strip in my head yesterday it was probably a good thing.  Definately will be there for the re-run :t-up:

Sam - I think I was about 3 cars behind when you had your 'near death' experience LOL!

Yes I think it was me who nearly carried Sam to his near death experience.....do I go left....do I go right...decisions decisions

I've just been cleaning my car and noticed that the new set of A048's on the rear of my car are now on the wear bar  :0    :D
