scruffythefirst Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 The capri was the last straw. It was only going to last another month or two at most anyway and I decided doing yet another temporary job wasn't what I needed right now. Anyway, it doesn't look like that many people are going to this, so will probably give it a miss. Bring on santa pod instead Quote
samcooke Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 QUOTE Bring on santa pod instead Looking forward to lunching some mechanical bit or other there. I have a 13.8 to beat from a friend who won't accept his 997 is gay and slow. Any news Chaz? Quote
scruffythefirst Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 QUOTE Looking forward to lunching some mechanical bit or other there. I reckon its the best way to find out whats iffy in my diff area. Quote
Johnson Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 Is your car fixed now Scruffy? If you are struggling for decent helicoils I can probably send some to you(with the appropriate tools to fit them). It would be nice to see it there. The Ultima is a definite by the way. Your car made PPC as well this month J Quote
scruffythefirst Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 Yup, all sorted did 120 miles or so today, lots of bouncing off the limiter and its still quiet(er) than it was so all good. Still not convinced the driveshafts / diff / cv's will survive many full launches but we'll see. Still trying to track a copy of ppc down, will have a look tommorrow hopefully. So, back to the thread who's confirmed for Honington so far? Quote

markboyce Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 I'll be there on Sunday. MX5 nail rather than the westy... Quote
StuartMackay Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 Absolutely Brilliant on both days! Impeccable organisation, great track and activities, catering and facilities top notch. Weather was excellent. Circuit was superb with mix of fast and slow sections, burnt loads of Optimax and shredded at least two old rear tyres We had 4 x 20 minute sessions today and were lapping at 1:42 Drag Strip managed an ET 13.7 at just over a 100 mph Terminal . Drift area was fun also. Today was busier than Saturday Quote
Johnson Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 It was an absolute top day. Just got in though as I recovered my friends Ultima back to his house for him and he drove my Westie back.(sounds like a big end has gone on his motor) Decided I need better brakes, better tyres and more power but other than that it was all good. There some seriously quick 7 type stuff out there and I thought the driving in our group was probably the best behaved out of them all. My missus was out in the Yellow 993 as a passenger when he had a spin on turn 2 only her second time on track I hope they get the opportunity to do another event there. J Quote
