scott beeland Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Richard also mentioned that a bolt on supercharger kit can be got from the states for $1100 (about £600!!!) You really could build/complete one for 8k if you got lucky with a bargain donor car It HAS to be a winner Quote
westfield_bumble Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 richard reckoned that it would be 190bhp with supercharger. Quote

Plus I would think that Richard maybe forgot that you will get stung for a further 17.5% VAT by the carrier when they deliver it to you. BBR Motorsport only quote 170/175bhp for a 1.8 supercharged MX5 BBR MX5 Although I'm sure more is possible. Quote

MONICA Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 still had a good weekend regardless of weather - it's amazing how cozy and warm it gets on a wet and windy evening with 10 wscc members and a couple of cleveland kit car club members all pushed into one 3x3 gazebo tent. had a good chat & a few beers & music - but unfortunately there wasn't quite enough room for us gals to dance round our handbags!!! I have to say - how lucky I felt to be in the camper when the wind started blowing full force - I had visions of Mark L , Terry and rest of the crew being blown across harrogate show ground in the middle of the night!!! great to see you all again Michele & Si Quote

Still I can't find a 600 dollar supercharger anywhere on the web. Richard must be keeping that under his hat. I'm sure a Wessy with a blower would sound 'different' .....Maybe a V8... Quote
