No, it's still the borrowed car, he sold his last year.

Who did he sell it to, cos its always at Dax whenever I go up there.

He sold it to a chap who ran it out of petrol on a track day so it ran lean and blew the engine, that's possibly why it was back at Dax.

I'm sure Nick could of come out top on the handling if it wasnt for that gearbox.

Westfield beat a Dax in a handling challenge ?  Not likely  :D  :D  ;)  :D  :D

Apparantly a Westfield with a turbo cossie (??) engine managed a quarter of 10.8s at 130mph - anybody on here ?

Your not wrong about the queueing Nick, it was awful. I only got 2 goes at the handling. First lap I had a split time the same as Duncans and then was a bit optimistic into the last corner and had to exit the course. Second try I had a bl**** wire under my dash chafe and began to smoke so I pulled off. Gave up queueing after that!!!

I think mine was the only Cossie Westy there and dont remember running a 10.8 qtr? The car was well down on power too so probably could not have managed that. Not forgetting my gear misses that were just awful!!!

Was good to meet some people though, Austen, Nick and Steve Wilson.

I think Mark's comment comes about because I did a 39 secs sighting lap (ie the first time I went round the course) . After that run I struggled with a load of false neutrals and whilst I got it down to a low 38 and came 2nd to Duncan in the rear wheel drive class. It just got woorse as the day went on. The quater mile was usless, I spent more time trying to get a gear than going up the strip  :(  :(  :(

Overall good fun, but the queing to get on the course was a joke  :arse:  :arse:  :arse:

Sounds like you did really well  :t-up:   Duncan said the queing was so bad he also only managed a few laps, 3 I think he said, sounds like they need to get this sorted out.

It's a shame you didn't get a proper run, would be interesting to know what I can expect from mine !  :D   I can't drive as well as Duncan but I'm hoping to give hm a good run for him money.

Yep, wouldn't bother going back if not sorted.

We have had some poorly run Sprint's this year, but this made them look positively excellent. I know I won't be moaning at then much for a while.

It was great to get the Westie out for a run as hadn't driven it since last October and hadn't had it on road tyres for about 2 year's. Forgottten how much it light's up the rears  :D  :D  :D

But now it's taxed. tested etc will be enjoying it lots more  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D
