MVS Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 Interesting read, and says a lot of what Blatman chastised me for on the residuals thread But...Hopefully it will have some general spin-off for 'seven' kits in general. Even if Westfield have to play second fiddle to Cat in the 'general publics' eyes. Quote
Rory's Dad Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 My 'problem' with the piece is that they showed little respect for the car and even less for the tools and knocking the poor thing off the stands was just plain stupid. Unlike the folk on Blatchat I didn't see the car/process in a particularly good light and (IMO) any exposure is *not* always good exposure. If they'd bothered to have a blast round Knockhill my opinion on the piece would (probably) be quite different. Rory's Dad Quote

I agree they did make the whole thing look amateurish..but I think even Joe public could see they were acting like 's. I think the piece was left suitably open ended for the above, cos didn't the thread link above make the point that both Hamster & Hairy have ordered their own kit's to build? I can understand your perspective, however I believe if you wait, maybe for later in the series there will be comments and maybe a follow up story in a later series. Depends how much Mrs C badgers JC as I understand it Quote
markcoopers Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 Much of the article hides the massive effort all manufactures do to try and get their product on the telly for free. The piece started out as a very different idea.....trust me on that. Quote
