Stamford Car Show

Nice local show, founded by Ron Champion, in what must be one of the best locations for a car show. Right in the heart of Stamford, so if 'er indoors gets bored she can go shopping!

Lots of nice little cafes, bars, restaurants for lunch etc.

There will be a flypast by the Battle of Britain Spitfire and a Dakota, which is quite a feat considering Stamford is a no fly zone...

I'll be there. Let me know of your interested and I'll arrange a suitable meeting place and email an entry form.

Really good day at the show. Good to meet you Martin.

Nice drive in the sun.

Convinced someone to buy a Westfield, not a Tiger or a Cater***

Convinced an SDV builder - Hi Steve20 - to get the car set up at Northampton Motor Sport

Explained what a turbocharger was to some old boy who'd just bought some Mitsubishi with one (I presume not an Evo6 )

Had a few interuptions from a 27 litre RR Meteor engine on a trailer when they ran it up for a few minutes

Had a Spitfire flypast

Got stuck on the kerb on the way out

Nice drive back in the sun - marvellous day.  Thanks for bringing it to my attention Martin.

Likewise...

Highly sucessful first outing for the car after all the work. Only slight problem being one of the air filter clips rubbing on the underside of the bonnet. 5 mins work with the tin snips and hacksaw had it trimmed back.
