IIRC it's 'Heat Reflective' screens that block the GPS signal (ones with UV covering).

QUOTE
Vehicles with 'Heat Reflective' screens, such as some newer Renault, Citroen and Peugeot cars, can prevent the GPS receiver from receiving GPS signal. If your vehicle has this type of windscreen you may need to purchase an extension re-radiating antenna to enable your detector to pick up GPS signal. Please note that ‘Heated’ screens as found on the Ford Mondeo will not prevent GPS signal. On many vehicles you may also find that the UV covering does not completely cover the screen. Sometimes the area immediately in front of the rear view mirror is suitable, whilst some Renault cars have a clear area 4 or 5 inches above the dashboard in the centre of the screen.

My Audi blocked the GPS signal and interferred with the radar signal but it works fine in the BMW.

Liam, My son's looking for a GPS nav/camera warning and he has an Audi (TT) what was it about yours that blocked the signals?

It's something to do with the type of sun protection glass used, particularly in windscreens. The stuff used by Audi seems to interrupt the gps signal.

I moved my gps detector to the outside at the base on the screen and it cured the 'no signal' problem instantly. This was with a Snooper, I can't say what other systems are like although I know that some of my managers have had similar problems with their sat navs and have resorted to outside detectors.

It didn't always pick up radar either. However, inside the present 320 it works fine. Both Gps and radar/lazer. Infact it's worrying the amount of stuff it picks up compared with being inside the Audi.

Get the Originb2 with the Jammer, its still the best.

Just bought a TomTom Go 910 and i would'nt trust it for camera detection.
