Blatman Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 I always assumed you could just enter your password etc on any pc anywhere in the world and get your mail from your regular isp?. Not all ISPs allow for remote access to e-mail (i.e. outside of their dialup / broadband pool) Andy And if you do log in to you ISP account via the web, quite often any emails that are read are then NOT sent to your "home" mailbox, so you run the risk of losing or forgetting where they are. On the other hand though, I regulalrly go in to my mail via the ISP's site so that I can delete all the spam straight off it so that it doesn't sit in my Outlook Inbox at home... Quote
adhawkins Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 That's what i meant.I didn't mean "took" them as in i owned them!. Simply that you could still use your virgin/freeserve email addy but would have to reactivate your account after around 90 days or something. Yes, but if that were (say) a Demon e-mail address, you wouldn't have been able to keep using it (unless you were still paying Demon of course...) Andy Quote

nlash Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 You should be fine with PIPEX Buzz... i've experienced one dropout in 2 years. Pretty good going really. All you need to do now is switch to a Mac and then you'll no longer have crashes or hanging either... food for thought Quote
