Peter M Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 Now someone mentioned immobiliser. We have a spare loom connector marked immobiliser and have done nothing with it...please tell all. Make sure there is a looped plug in there or your fuel pump will definately wont work. Quote
Tony Hughes Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 Hi Tim and Chris, I had similar problems starting mine, here are some problems I had ... 1. Fuel pump wiring was wrong way around at the pump due to wrong sized loop connectors on WF loom. 2. Plug from main loom to ECU loom was wrong - as others have suggested .... 3. Inertia switch was wired wrong - a pig to access once installed but check for continuity with a meter (or battery and bulb!) 4. And finally .... and don't laugh .... Fuel feed and return were connected wrong way around at the engine ... swapping these around enabled it to start ... having checked for fuel at the manifold by depressing the valve - stand clear, it's under pressure and will shoot across your nice tidy garage! You will hear the pump at pos'n 2 - only for about 2 secs. Good luck and have faith - it WILL start. Tony Quote
Symbiotic_Caterpillar Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 I can't stand the suspense. Is it going yet? Quote
