Xflow oil change

I've found somewhere that stocks it now.  20w50 is £8 or Valvoline racing 20w50 is £20.  Is it really worth the extra?  Theyre also suggesting i use 10w40 instead.  Opinions?  Seems to have been running fine on 20w50.

Borrowed my neighbours chain wrench and got the oil filter off in the end.  Managed to drop it in the tub i'd neatly collected all the oil from the engine in and splash it everywhere :(  But it's done now.

I use Valvoline 20/50 VR1 Racing oil (Mineral not Synthetic) in my Crossflow and find that that suits my engine.

As my previous post, it's worth the extra few quid and a lot cheaper than an engine rebuild  :p

So just to confirm, i put the oil in this hole here? right? (the cap to the left is what i took off)

Should i have put some oil in the filter before I put it on?

Well I'm done.  Just been out for a run and it seems to be fairly successful.  Pressures range from 1bar at idle (~700rpm, it needs increasing) to a shade over 4bar at high revs which is about what it was before.  Fingers crossed i dont have any leaks overnight.

Cheers to everyone who helped!  I'll buy you a drink whenever i see you.
