Hi Adam, Dave is right yours is not a serp you can tell by the pictures on your website. If you want to change you will need a serp intermediate front cover, serp water pump with pulley, inter serp bottom pulley and an alternator & bracket. as Dave said the westfield one is agricultural but works V8 Developments do a nice alloy one but about £75 just for the bracket. Your P5 water pump is no good for a serp conversion sorry. You also need a different wood ruff key fitting in the end of the crank as the nose is shorter the key requires moding to fit.Expect the conversion to easily cost £500

£500! probably cheaper to buy a knackered serp V8 for the serp bits!

My water pump is the wrong one. shucks. I shall have to re-ebay it then.

The trouble is you need an Intermediate Serpentine engine which are like rocking horse s@it

The normal serp does not have a distributer.

either way you need a new front cover either serp or p5 the range rover cover is no good

Yes pleeze!

Barry, I like my distributor, it has lots of leads!

Dave, what did you do to your plenum exactly?

Westfield get the mod done to the plenum it is quite expensive as well as the plenum you have to get the trumpets removed from the base, machined shorter then refitted. To go down the route of a act plenum wight not be that expensive when you look at the power gained and the look of a lovely piece of carbon under the bonnet and I thought you were going for looks  :p

You right I do like the ACT plenum but I want to make sure it is good value for money. i.e. not just a case of shaving off 3mm of alloy from the base of the standard chamber! I want to make a considered decsion. I was wondering about the length of the throttle bodies. I would question shortening them, as sure these lengths are surely tuned. I think this is an area that has to be  considered carefully. If possible I want to increase performance not reduce it and I do not understand the principles involved here.

BTW, thanks guys for all the info.  :D
