i am after a program/software to remind me of all the things i forget ie birthdays, dental appointments etc. . it must be easy to use and be able to be configured so that it will pop up often enough so that it annoys the 5hit out of you so that you do the task :D

I use Outlooks calendar function. It's pretty easy...

I use Outlook calendar linked to my phone.  However this is not foolproof....

At breakfast one morning, having my cereal, not saying a word, the phone goes.

Look at the message

Look up at SWMBO

Oh!  Happy birthday dear.

Who said romance was dead :arse:

Nothing is foolproof, but *everyone* is likely to have Outlook or Outlook Express. I tend to set remnders for all *important* dates (Birthdays, car/bike MOT's and insurance renewals) several days in advance ;)

I use Outlook synched with a smartphone. You get the full version of Outlook with the phone so it is not a pre-requisite to own (or 'own' ;)) Office.

If you want to snooze a reminder you can. Try 1 hour snoozes - pi$$es you off so much you just have to do the job ..

Yes, the key is to have the reminder go off about a week in advance :)
