Thanks Leon, although I still can't see the pics.

I'm afraid I don't have a list of everyones bhp/torque, we were too busy trying to stay dry :-)

So far (all figures at the wheels)

I think Rachel's car is a Pinto.

So Ron didnt turn up then!?!?  Was their just 6 of you?  What about Richard in the V8?

Nope Ron didn't turn up. I called Ron at about 7:30am on the Friday (he didn't mind too much) and said he couldn't go because he was half way through moving house.

Richard (BournemoutRoyal) and his V8 didn't turn up. I guess the weather was pretty rubbish in the morning.

Luckily for me, I dodged the clouds and left Havant with it being dry all the way to Salisbury (with a few black clouds in all directions). Then it chucked it down at about 10:30 after a few claps of thunder, and got wet on the way home, leaving at about 11:30.

So yep, only 5 of us on the rollers. (Simon didn't want to) Janspeed didn't seem to mind that much as the engineers had other stuff to do anyway.

I assume only 5 turned up, although Janspeed said if any other others arrive after we left (upto about 3pm) they'd let them on the rollers. So did anyone else arrive late?

Apologies Lee for not turning up. Put all the wet weather gear on on Thursday evening, however, daughter was ill on Friday and couldn't go to nursery, so I had to stay in all day!

Hopefully 3rd time lucky for getting on a rolling road!

Thanks anyway for arranging the day!

Cheers

Richard

You're right Phil, it's a 2 litre Pinto.

My two runs were:

1. 107 bhp 118 lb/ft

2. 108 bhp 115lb/ft

Nope, bottled it

Heavy rain and big sparks overnight, plus dire warnings of problems on the M4 eastbound our side of the Severn crossing put me off.

Stayed home, boarded the loft and installed the digital TV aerial, clearing up two piles of cr@p from unfinished jobs and gaining not a few Brownie points for actually finishing something other than work onthe Westy ;)  ;)

Car's running really well though, so I am guessing that it must be putting out at least the 130PS of the XR3i 1800 Zetec now I have binned the Mundano induction setup in favour of the Westfield plenum.

Roll on Bruntingthorpe   :blues:

Hi

96bhp   99lb/ft  first run

96bhp    97lb/ft  second run

Not massively high compared to others but as this figure was at the wheels I was pleased because my car made these figures at the flywheel last year.

Roll on winter upgrades for next years session

Hello Folks,

Sorry for the slow response, but I've been away for the week.

The guys at Janspeed had trouble getting a clean pickup from the HT leads on my car and were unable to use the LT side as its sealed, hence they could only provide a readout vs speed not RPM. This also produced spiking in the torque output.

Run 1: Max power = 133.93 bhp     No torque plot due to pickup problem noted above.

Run 2: Max power = 133.03 bhp Max torque = 218.17 lb/ft  :D  :D although looking at the plot you can see this is due to a spike, real value more like 125 lb/ft (reading from the plot)

Other thing I've noticed is that the plot for my car goes upto ~105 mph, which agrees well with the 6k I asked the guys at Janspeed to use for the first run as I don't know what the limiter is set at, if fourth gear was used.  ???.  Does anybody know if this is this normal, or is it just a chase that the guy didn't realalise it was a 5 speed box.

Thanks again to Lee for orgaining the event and hopefully see you again.

Paul

PS I had a relatively dry drive home which must have taken me all of 5 minutes.
