Looking to connect mbe ecu to my laptop.My laptop sockets are 4 usb and a 25 pin parallel port.My question is what lead and where will I plug the lead from ecu .Understand from easimap i need 9 pin d type plug.Anyone help.

From what I understand, you need a serial/USB adapter lead so you can use a USB port.

Out of interest, which MBE ECU are you using?

I think its 967, the standard sort of one that westfield supply with fuel injection.

If it is a 967 then Easimap 5 is the recommended software but if you have a 956E (as my 2005 module build Sport1800 did )then Easimap 4 is recommended.

Easymap5 is what you want. Plenty of laptops do not have the required serial input now, you need a USB to serial lead. I got mine off some website for about £9 after the "How much??!!!!" in PC World. It came with a driver on a mini-CD.
