Steve L Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 First off, @ the forum moderator: I admit to placing a parts wanted message here because I don't have the rights to post in the parts wanted area. So if you delete this immediately, I understand. And I am sorry for abusing the forum, but I am a bit desperate. I am looking for a bevel drive for a VDO speedo cable which has a sort of a washer-like ring brazed onto it for attaching to a type 9 gearbox. Caterham makes the things, and maybe Westfield does as well, but they cost an awful lot new. If you have an extra lying about, email me: westy91@gmx.de Thanks, Steve L Quote

Are you a paid up WSCC member? If so, then getting the rights to post is easy. If not, I suspect this will be deleted. In the meantime, the right angle drives are expensive. There's no getting around it trust me, I've tried. You need to resign yourself to coughing up... Quote
7SE Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 The alternative is to drill a hole in the side panel oppo the speedo drive and run the cable across the floor and up behind the dash. By doing this you can avoid tight curves in the cable. Quote
