MVS Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 As per the title has anyone priced this item up or got any idea before I ringing around. Oh and do the supply direct or is there a good supplier to try? Reason being the factory cannot get hold of a LSD Sierra diff for my sport 2000 module kit, so have given me an open one to build in for the moment, but they cant say when or if they will get another in the not too distant future, and it will be a bit of a hassle to swop out. MVS Posted June 25, 2006 Author Posted June 25, 2006 OK. got price. Is anyone using one? How easy are they to fit? Quote
adamnreeves Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 OK. got price. Is anyone using one? How easy are they to fit? When you say easy to fit, fit the diff unit to the car or take the exisiting diff apart and fit internals. I assume you mean the former but fitting an LSD diff to the car is no different than fitting an open one. Swapping the internals, if it were me I would get professionally done. Quote
Mark Stanton Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 Have you tried Phil Stewart at Road and Race or Steve Perks at SPC Quote
MVS Posted June 26, 2006 Author Posted June 26, 2006 Have you tried Phil Stewart at Road and Race or Steve Perks at SPC Nope, trying to get Kingswingford to do me one cos they can't seem to find me a Sierra LSD, been waiting for yonks, so have suggetsed to Mark & parts that this may be a way out (even if I have to pay slightly more). How do I contact them, have you got web addresses for them? Thanks in advance Quote
ChrisG Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 ISTR that if you use a Quaife ATB in a Sierra diff, you also need to buy the Quaife stub axles because the diff won't take the standard Sierra ones. In turn I think that may mean different / modified driveshafts but not sure on that. Quote

ChrisG Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 Check it first before resigning to that, as its only what Ive heard rather than actual experience Quote
