Seat Leon gets my vote.

A very good friend of mine has been in the motor trade for years and has one as a company car and he raves about it

Skoda Superb gets my vote. Now comes with the 2.0 140 TDI too. Easily the most comfortable cruiser in that list. Its like having resurfaced roads everywhere you go :)

Had an octavia II as a loan car and it wasn't in the same class.

the leon you list is tricky as they don't make the tdi sport now because its been replace already by the FR up from 140 to 170 bhp , however on the dsg they don't do the dsg tdi yet , dunno why  but its comming so you might get a 140 months before it becomes a 170 .

You make a good point Harv,

There's always an annoying delay from when a manufacturer makes a model line up change to it appearing on the list from the contract hire people.

Not sure what will happen with the Leon now. According to the website i'd now have to go for the Stylance and then see if I can get some options put on it.

The problem is that Xenon's are a HUGE price option because they're tracking ones and the way we price our budget anything that's an option has a big impact on the price. It's better to get cars that are already loaded with kit than get a lower spec and try to option it up IYSWIM

Pity a Saab isn't on your list (even if it is a Vectra floor pan) I understand they have superb seats for folks with back trouble  :)  :D  ;)

P.S. Andy didn't go mooching in yer cupboards 'onest - it was sheer skill or maybe a lucky guess  :D  :D  :D  ;)    :D

TBH if you have a few back issues i'd go with the skoda supurb as its a better ride and on the old passat platform , the sport suspention may be a bit stiff on the seat i find it ok but then my choice of cars is in my sig and they are anything from firm to bone jarringly awfull .

Skoda Superb V6 TDi jumps out to me as the ideal car in the list . . . smooth, quiet, ideal for motorway journeys and probably with a comfy, supportive seat if you have back trouble  :t-up:

That's what I voted for. Smart looking car...

Voted for the Leon....but 2nd choice was the Superb.....and I reckon the choice between those two depends on what only you know you want out of a car, where you drive etc.....

Thinking about it, the one thing against the Superb is the boot. It's harder to lift in and out of a saloon and I have to be careful with stuff like that....

Leon is a bit 'firm' for mainly motorway driving

If I was buying it would have to be the Seat but, since your not I have always found for mile munching french cars are hard to beat for comfort, I was very impressed with the 05 Laguna DCI I had for a  couple of days it was quite quick and had the traditional soft french arm chair seats.  Personally I always find it hard to get German or smililar alternatives seats comfy, could be just me, can't say about vauxhall other than I remember some Police changing seats in the Omega due to back problems?

Good point....but what about reaching to back of estate...?

Maybe the Tucson is the way to go....... :0  ???

Soft comfy seats and back issues aren't necessarily a good thing.....:(
