craig-c Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 Even when i took mine for it's SVA, with Cat box on filled with metal scourers i could only manage 101DB so i guess that count's me and quite a few people i know from not doing this, which is a shame really, because if any track day i would like to do, it probably would be this one, just to be on the track at the same time as just westfields, would be great Quote
Blatman Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 because if any track day i would like to do, it probably would be this one, just to be on the track at the same time as just westfields, would be great There's always Mallory in July. That's just Westfields too, and a *much* less strict noise limit... Quote
Bazzer Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 Is brunty 98dB drive by or static ? I have driven it lots of times and I would not make 98dB static. I remember people being stopped for drive by though. Bazzer Quote
Hammy Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 Can someone tell me how the noise measurement is made - Is it "slow" response "A" weighted but wot distance from car pointing at wot etc, away from buildings ?. I would have like to make this track day but I expect I'm miles off the limit and didn't want to risk losing the cash ( did a search on noise AND Measurement but found nowt useful) Incidently what do people do for fuel at these events? take another barge with a load of Jerry cans ? stewart pickles Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 my cars 98 db @ 6k thats 2/3 max revs honest Quote
Hammy Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 looked for noise and level in searches but couldn't find any details of the mesurement set up (Ok I didn't look back forever) - only reference to other motorsport docs nad silencer types . Indulge me, at what distance is the sound level measured, e.g is say 7m, 4 positions, average taken. Could be useful for those of us fairly new and contemplating track sessions ( I can get hold of a meter...). Quote
Mark Stanton Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 There's always Mallory in July. That's just Westfields too, and a *much* less strict noise limit... and it's only £97.00 for WSCC members Quote
