kik1.6se Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 Hi Guys, I've been thinking about buying a cheap 3rd car as a track day toy, but have run out of space. Where can I find info about hiring garages? How much does it typically cost? The only other option would be to sell the 106 rallye and have the track day toy as a run around as well, I don't drive the rallye that much now, but still enjoy it, so would prefer to keep it. Thanks Kirk Quote
Mrs Westy Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 www.rightmove.co.uk also has details of garages to buy or rent as well as houses. Not many on there but may give you an idea. Quote
adhawkins Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 Local council would be a good starting point I'd imagine... Andy Quote
worldwidewebs Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 Trawl round all the local newsagents windows and Tesco/Sainsbury's ads section. It's also worth putting a wanted ad in these places too. Or just keep the 106... Quote

Major Stare Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 Put a cage in the Pug, strip it out even more, tune it and race it. Problem solved Quote
Blatman Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 www.lockupgarages.co.uk I rent one of my lock ups through these people. Quote
Rob Navin Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 Keep the 106. Cage it and go trackday and then rally it Quote
orbv Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 My local council (Hart) rents them out for 10quid (from memory) a month. Quote
kik1.6se Posted May 31, 2006 Author Posted May 31, 2006 Thanks guys, There are a few on that web site near me and I've found another near me at £8 a week which isn't too bad. I wouldn't mind using the rallye as a track day toy, alot of the other rallye owners have stripped them and use them for track days. I don't want to break it though. Kirk Quote
