haworthlloyd Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 Hope its not too much trouble to ask - I need to see if I fit in properly and that I genuinely will like them before I head off all over the country trying to find a good one. Incidentally if anyone is selling a BEC let me know im a cash buyer. Hope you guys can help me out cheers lloyd Quote
Rory's Dad Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 I was in the same position - worrying if I could get in or, more worryingly, out . (have a bad back and plenty of excess lbs). Found lots of help from fellow members on the boardroom and will be buying an all new modular kit as soon as we sell the house. Had a ride in Jeff Cooper's busa yesterday at Harewood (did a bit of marshalling) What a car . Even managed to wriggle in and out through the full cage without help (I'm 58, 17++ stone and about 6ft) If I can do it I'm sure you can too. Rory's Dad (someone will be along shortly and ask you to join the club - best £25 I've spent in ages) Quote

a4gom Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 lloyd where about are you in west yorkshire? I don't have a BEC car but I know a few who do, for fittment purposes I can't see it makes much difference whether BEC or CEC more the type of seat and pedals which are fitted. I'm 6'1" and fit in mine (Sei) o.k. but if I was choosing again i'd get a wide bodied car. Get yourself over to one of the meets they will be getting busier now 'summer' is here. Leeds 1st Tuesday and Holmfirth 3rd Tuesday. Quote
Paul Hurdsfield - Joint Manchester AO Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 Hyah, why not pop over to 'our' Manchester area meeting on the 14th of June, It's in Oldham, which aint far from W Yorks, we have Blade's, Busa's, and every variety of CEC, gotta be worth a visit. Quote
Rory's Dad Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 lloyd where about are you in west yorkshire? His username may give you a clue Rory's Dad (some 3 eyed smilies have infiltrated this post dunno how that happened) Quote
haworthlloyd Posted May 30, 2006 Author Posted May 30, 2006 ha my username won't give you a clue cos im not in Haworth!! That's actually my surname. Im in Brighouse basically junction 25 M62 but always in Leeds or Huddersfield. Its kind of you all for the response!! If any one is free this week please let me know, if not then I will go to the meet a week today im guessing it is!! Really just wanted a ride to make sure I fit but also to actually just go out in a westie as I have never been in one before!!! Been in most things such as Vanquishes, 911's, Ferrari's etc but can't help thinking a westie will be better Im still looking to buy one too if anyone knows of one! Saw a westie today and have noticed it around cleckheaton a few times - a yellow one - he was giving it some stick Quote
