pistonbroke
QUOTE I have to say its brilliant - really well engineered, has the same keyed part as the racetech model. I have a racetech version on my TVR and there's no difference. I can't understand why its half the price. I think the difference is the racetech boss is "keyed" so it can only go in the correct orientation . Westfield also supply the racetech , might be worth a call
Rich_No80
Like I said, the Rally Design one is keyed too - EXACTLY the same as the Racetech one. Richard
JohnL
Anyone else had any personal experience of fitting the much cheaper Rally Design keyed item as compared to the RaceTech QR. More opinions would be useful before I take the plunge.
Morbius
i've the splined one too. Sent the column to the factory and had it back in three days. Got the column lengthened when getting it welded too. (ooer) It's pretty good although sometimes seems to have a wee bit of play as if it hasn't quite fixed on correctly. i haven't sussed out why yet. i'm pretty happy with it though. I had the factory do mine as well (Racetech). The wheel moves up and down the column a bit, but there is zero rotational play. I just need to get some black paint onto the column extension that the factory also welded before the whole lot rusts up.
Big R
How do you measure the dia of a steering wheel? Is it to the centre or outside of the rim ? TIA
