langy Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 My insurance is up for renwal and I was thinking about putting the gf on the insurance, she has driven it before (on a trackday) and loves every minute of it. Thoughts ? Sean Quote
studbuckle Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 For sure. Carla and I share the driving. bl**** good job too otherwise we'd have been screwed in the states when my back went. She enjoys driving the car and I see no reason why she shouldn't. After all, she helps to pay for it. I know i'm one of the lucky ones though Quote
dern Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Yes because it makes it cheaper to insure but she doesn't want to drive it which closely matches my own feelings on the matter so everyone is happy Quote
Blatman Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Blatgirl is on all of my insurances except for the bike. I'm on all of hers. Takes the worry out of wondering if I should take one of the other cars or not... Quote
KerryS Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Seem to recall it made no difference whether SWMBO was on or not. Sh eis but has never driven it. FJ have just quoted me £15 to put my 26 year old daughter on for last 6 months of the policy until renewal. Kerry Quote
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 the last gf was the new gf isnt go figure.... You are obviously pining for the old one Quote
simple Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Not on the Westie cos she can't reach the pedals(seat is bolted in) we're both on the other cars Quote
Muttleys V8 Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 She has been for teh last 2.5years and has only driven it once! Quote
Barry Ashcroft Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Lou is not on this one she drove it around the paddock at Laguna Seca last year and decided that was enough I think the 2800lb clutch cover might have something to do with it. When we bought the A3 last year to put me on her insurance the premium went down by £80 go figure Quote
nikpro Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Most definately on it and both WSSC members; she loves doing the trackdays and drives it whenever she can; She is not into the anorak side of it though - I love building them and modifying, she just wants to thrash it!! (Puts a big grin on my face when she does as well) Quote
adhawkins Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 The Welsh Wizard is on the insurance for the Throbber, but has only driven it once. Hopefully that will change now that the new mirrors are fitted (that was her excuse for not driving it previously ) Andy Quote
Guest Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Mine is and does and would moan if she wasn't .................... however she's only ever driven the kart once everything else we both drive. Quote
matthew h Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 The wife is, but as the car has been sick for a while and is now known as that "bl**** car", she probably doesn't want to drive it! Quote
oioi Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 the last gf was the new gf isnt go figure.... You are obviously pining for the old one after we split up she bought her self a cateringvan promptly threw it through a hedge backwards... Quote
