powertoys image resizer

Right then have photos in my document folders plus in my Canon folder.If i want to resize a picture I select the relevant picture right click with mouse a window then comes up i then select resize image,then this changes to another window which gives me the options to select a size or advanced options which ever one i click on ok nothing seems to happen.What happened last time i used the resize function it would either resize the photo or made a resized copy depending on what i needed.
