BuGsBuNnY Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 I know there is loads of threads on the issue, but I am a bit confused. I am running a T piece with the oil pressure sender on one end (one terminal) and the oil adustable switch on the other (two terminals). The oil pressure sender with the single terminal feeds the pressure gauge which works fine and was as installed when I got the car. The switch has two terminals (which is what is confusing me a bit) and an allen screw in the middle. 1)How do I wire the thing up? 2)Have I got the right switch? 3)Should it have one terminal instead of two? 4)Normal 12V rear fog light will do for the warning switch? Car is a BEC. Quote
Paul Ash Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 My Adj Oil press switch for the VX has two terminals & adjuster in the middle , so guess its a similar switch. Anyway. Your warning light should have a 12v feed to it. The switch side should provide the earth. So one terminal should go to earth. The other should go to the earthed side of the lamp. If you have a meter available, check for continuity when engine off (no oil pressure) And NO continuity when engine running (oil pressure) HTH Quote
