subsy Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Hi people, im in suttoncoldfield, Newhall to be exact right near birmingham road!, looks like we could have quite a meet going on in the area Quote
Ravan Posted May 16, 2006 Author Posted May 16, 2006 Would be good if all that have answered to this could arrange a one off meet (although it may lead to more?! I am probably the most awkward as I work shifts (including weekends) but being as I started this I want to be there!! Let's wait for some nice weather and will PM you all. Any ideas where to meet up would be good - maybe Bassetts pole pub Sutton, Farmer Johns Streetly, The Bull Shenstone? Mark. Quote
Blatman Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Why is a one off meet necessary? Just go to the local area meet, surely? Or I'm missing something... Quote
David Alexander Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 I'd be interested in meeting. Particularly as I always seem to be busy on the 3rd Thursday in the month anyway. (Including this week.) I wasn't aware that we were only suppose to meet at 'official events'! Sorry if I have transgressed any club rules by waving to other Westfield as we pass on the road? Quote
Blatman Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Not supposed to, but the local AO may well have information about events in the area that you otherwise may not get to hear about. At the very least you should contact him and get on the local area mailing list so that you don't miss out... Quote
Mark Stanton Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Bassetts pole pub Sutton Be careful not to clash with the bikers meeting and check with gaffer first - I work very close to the Pole and we stopped going at lunchtimes cos he was a right misery The old area meets used to be at Aston Wood Golf Club many years back - now defunct - nearest other area meets are Derby / Notts or Black Country Quote
emma.1 Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Yeh, come to our Black Country meets, held at The Sun Inn Romsley 2nd Sunday in the month.....all welcome! Quote
deano.1 Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Go to everybodys meet, thats what i'll be doing in the summer Quote
Ravan Posted May 16, 2006 Author Posted May 16, 2006 Was not trying to outdo any of the area meets and i do plan to go to as many as possible -i believe there is one in Hatton this Thurs? but i'm working nights - just thought that if there are a few people locally with the same interest then it might be nice to meet up on the spur of the moment.
