SteveF Posted May 11, 2006 Author Posted May 11, 2006 The cap can't be reversed from its original position as its a side exit one, and its definitely pointing in the same direction as before (towards the rear) - I'll check if its on properly though. I'm at the point now that it's running I might as well drive it to someone who can sort it properly - as I'm fed up with it Any suggestions for a good Xflow tuner around Warrington? Thanks Steve Quote
westfield_bumble Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 sorry bit of a copycat high jack. My crossflow seems to run fine (a little lumpy on tickover but its got a fast road cam and a moded aldon dizzy) but my dizzy is out by 90deg to the one in the pic earlier and the manual. I will reposition it correctly before refitting the engine but if it seems ok should I leave it alone. 1) But more so can anyone explain how its running. 2) Will it be causing less power??? Its been like this since i bought the car sept2004. This is at tdc with the front pulley notch lined up with the tdc on timing cover. Am I just missing something. Thanks a confused Scott Quote
blankczechbook Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 doesnt matter which way it points as long as it aims towards the no1 HT lead at TDC on the firing stroke for no1 it might be twisted cos the owner put it in like that wrong.. but if it works why change it - unless you take the dizzy out and try to refind the position... then it's trickier if it is abnormal as yours is.
