The Caterham did look a whole lot faster to the ton than the Porsche did though..........but the program is still the biggest bunch of A*** i have ever seen and i won't be tuning in again. Quote
Gazza Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 I dont know what cater**** have for brakes but It beats me how it couldnt outbrake something over double its weight ...just for the record (an in case you consider outbraking one into a roundabout ) P's have genuinely PHENOMENAL brakes. The ABS will keep the braking on the optimum point, but even if you had Stig in a 7 he wouldn't be able to match the way a P grabs the road! Anyway, agree with the general concensus that the TV prog is hopeless. Quote

Anyway, agree with the general concensus that the TV prog is hopeless. Disagree with that... Hands up who has consistantly outbraked 911's and the like at trackdays? Granted managing the braking takes a bit of concentration and it's hard to tell sometimes when you have locked up... Quote
Blacknblue Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Watched one episode and the term chav sprang to mind at the point their road test included - 'how far away you could walk and still hear the stereo' Total drivel really, but I guess when you have that many channels to fill something has to give. Program content and quality it seems. Quote
JeffC Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Hands up who has consistantly outbraked 911's and the like at trackdays? Ive never bin outbraked by a tin top on track, total oppisite , I was amazed at what my car can outbrake either the porka is outstanding ( very possible) or the cateringvan had lumps of wood for pads (also possible) Quote
letterkenny Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 I could be mistaken but a recent 0-100-0 test in a popular car mag seemed to have a C&%$£^%$£m outbrake just about all the other contenders by a large margin. As for the programme, Quote
Jenko Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 You're all wrong.......I was about to go out and buy an ASTRA VXR, but now (thanks to Vroom Vroom), I realise the Astra will not leave 8 items of a dinner plate set left on a table if I tie a rope to it and pull the table cloth out from underneath.....So, thanks Vroom vroom.
