Major Stare Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Sorry. Im sure this has been discussed before. Personnally im waiting untill my son is closer to 4years old before i put him in a Westy. Quote
matthew h Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 With the current wife, I have more chance of getting an F1 drive than getting our 18 mth old in the car. Rach must be very understanding! Quote
pistonbroke Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Good idea You will probably destroy his ears for life if nothing else Quote
dern Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 We have a Graco Rally Sport car seat and that fits in mine with some encouragement (you have to jam it in) and that holds my 4 year old daughter in to her mothers satisfaction with a 4 point harness. Sadly the seat is such a tight fit that the integral cup holders won't deploy. Scroll to the bottom of this page for childrens ear muffs in funky colours that they might like. Mine wears her winnie-the-pooh bike crash hat and matching sunglasses. It's all to do with image apparently. Mark Quote
neilwillis Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 There's a child seat in mine - the driver sits in it! Quote

woz Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Just passed the 12 week mark so I can tell the world that I'm about to be a dad Pointed out to the wife that the boot box is a perfect size for a new born, a couple of bungee straps to hold him/her down. She diddn't share me enthusiasm for the idea Quote
Camel_Landy Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 I used to carry my little ones in my Westie.... Firstly, how are the shoulder straps arranged? If they come around the side of the seat then children are usually too small (even with a booster). Mine had the straps coming through the seat and so was better arranged for bracing their shoulders. Secondly... The seat. It took me 'kin ages to find a booster seat small enough to fit in as most of them have arm rests on the side!!! I think I eventually found a basic booster in Mothercare (either that or Halfrauds) after wandering around various shops with my tape measure. Finally, once you get them in, get them a cool pair of shades to go out driving with. HTH Mark. Quote
