Strip and Rebuild of a Duratec

Recommended Posts

Hi

I'm going to start stripping my engine soon and was wondering if anyone can recommend a good manual for this and the eventual re-build. I've noticed Haynes do a manual for the Mk3 Mondeo. Is this sufficient are are there better sources out there?

The Haynes manual isn`t bad although it is a little bit patchy in places. Ford don`t repair the bottom end so some torqwue figures etc are missing for things like main crank ladder bolts.

Anyway the torque settings for these are supplied with the bolts when you order them for ARP  ;)

I`ve got some pics of my rebuild on my website www.simon-bell.co.uk
