dern Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 I need a sierra rear stub axle. It's the type that the CV/lobro bolts to and the one I need is the drivers side, ie the one with the right handed thread on (clockwise to do the nut up). If you have one lying about then let me know please. I bought a pair for my locost ages ago and it turns out I have two passenger side ones Help. Thanks, Mark
smithydar Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 partco will do them but i dont know how much.theyre normaly exchange but they wont check that youve sent the wrong side back..other than that theres probably stacks of them in breakers yard. hth darren
dern Posted April 18, 2006 Author Posted April 18, 2006 other than that theres probably stacks of them in breakers yard. There are but the problem is that you have to get that hub nut off without power or air tools and without the assistance of the handbrake
smithydar Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 not to much of a problem.just take a decent bar that you can wedge in between the wheel studs but obviously offset the bar so not to cover the nut you want to undo.this worked for me. hth darren edited to say if you have a new nut you can use a chisel and split the old one.thats just another option
