Now the car is finished i have to worry about the other bits and pieces. My helmet has the blue msa helmet sticker on it with a 2004 date on it, is this still legal for hillclimbs and sprints.

Cheers

.... that reminds me: Mark (or anyone) does the MSA scrute's sticker 'expire' as such?

Not too sure - they change the colour every so often and I recall something from an old aged memory that there's something like a 10 year age limit on helmet use ??? so anything with 1995 or previous might not be eligible ???? However this may be senile dimensions talking  :p  :p  :p  :durr:  :p    :durr:  ;) so best check with Blue Book or a friendly scruter  :D

They expire from time to time, but they usually give 12 months notice. Last time I recall them expiring was in the early 90's. They used to be yellow, then changed to the current blue, making yellow ones "illegal". Doesn't mean you have to get a new lid though. As long as the lid with the "old" sticker is in good condition, then you just need to cough up a quid for a new sticker. Easy.

Somewhere in my loft I have an open face Simpson lid with both yellow and blue stickers on...

The 10 year rule over rules the sticker rule though, so a lid older than 10 years is, I think, not elligible...
