Numptie Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 Trying to find one of those mits to scrub the stones and ****e off the tyres 'tween paddock and queue ... but failed. Any ideas? Cheers, Eric Quote
Paul Ranson Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 This or this are the sorts of things you want. A good technique for cleaning up slicks involves a hot air gun and sharp paint scraper. You remove all the pick up and bring tyres back to life. Paul Quote
Delboy Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 Definitely the first 'THIS' is what you need! Hi Paul, haven't seen you in years!! del Quote
Numptie Posted April 3, 2006 Author Posted April 3, 2006 This or this are the sorts of things you want. Aye, As Derek says, the first one is the very fella. Thanks for that. Cheers, Eric Quote
Paul Ranson Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 Hi Derek, I tend just to be at the British Hillclimb events nowadays. Got back into the race car yesterday for the first time since last September and couldn't even remember how to start it... I reckon the second 'this' could be very useful, we have a motley collection of 'this' ones and never use the bristly side. Paul Quote
Numptie Posted April 3, 2006 Author Posted April 3, 2006 Brilliant! - thanks. Visited the local horsey shop on the way home and got the very thing. Also got a plastic curry comb which might even be better ... ... and it cost the princely sum of 80p If I'd seen it in the Demon Theives catalogue advertised as a super dooper tyre scrubbing doobrie and costing a tenner, I'd have bought it.
