Molydood Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 just wondered what other peoples motives for owning a westfield are. Personally I bought mine mainly as a track car, with occasional road use. I also notice that some of you lucky so and so's have one westfield for the track/racing and one for the road cheers, Martin Quote
Lurksalot Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 Having just come back from Anglesey ( Ty Croes ) on my first track day , I think I can say , with some authority......... very changeable weather but.......... kev Quote
adhawkins Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 You picked a good track to have your first track day. Scary though How many brown trouser moments did you have through 'School'? Andy Quote
Lurksalot Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Ive done a bit of trackwork before in Karts so I,m familiar with scary bits at speed , a bit like druids at oulton. don't look at the green bits, look where you need to be steering the thing. lovely circuit ,always something to do very technical what a day Kev Quote
Mark Stanton Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Anglesey ( Ty Croes ) on my first track day Then next time you just gotta go for Cadwell and Knockhill superb circuits Quote
Lurksalot Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Yup Will do them soon I am hoping for a long summer Ive raced most of the long circuits in 250 SuperKarts and knockhill and cadwell are superb and if ty croes is anything to go by will suit the car down to the ground. Putting the car on the circuit just changes your entire view of the marque. granted built with a racing pedigree , Its not till you get to really push it hard that the handling and performance shine through the experience of having warm soft grippy rubber (ooh er missus) helps even more Putting your car on the circuit should be made compulsory kev Quote
david.c Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Mostly road for me, with a couple of trackdays each year...............wish could be more though David Quote
felters Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Who's the flash git with one for each ? Blatters, Matt Seabrook, Geofffffffffff, Dern all have two or are on the way to building a second. Probably more out there as well... Personally I'd love to SORN my MegaBlade and then have a V8 for the road... Quote
slippy Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 BEC for the track and a monster V8 for the road is definately the way to go Quote
Blatman Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Who's the flash git with one for each ? I'm the one who voted But as Felters said, Matt, Geoff and Dern all have more than one Se7en. Well, why wouldn't you? Quote
slippy Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Well, why wouldn't you? How long have you got Quote
