timd Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 after my extensive searching on aeroscreens tonight it seems Tims site has dissapeared, so I assumed you could not get the JTO one anymore, hence why Im looking at the playskool one which seems a little higher and therefore maybe a problem? My site is still online, I archived it after I sold the car to here. The aeroscreen stuff is here. As correctly noted above, Will Maskell now makes them. His site was http://www.aerodynamix.co.uk but hasn't been working for a while. Quote
Molydood Posted March 24, 2006 Author Posted March 24, 2006 just been through your site Tim, really interesting. I have seen your car before but didn't realise you were the original builder, I bet it was amazing! Yes, Will's site is currently not working, but I have his email now (thanks Steve). Now I just need to decide if this screen will be big enough, or if I need the playskool one (bearing in mind it will be used on the road without a helmut sometimes) cheers! Martin Quote
Guest Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 i find that the higher SLR type raises the air enough to find helmetless bearable ,but tbh i rarely do more than a blat round the corner without one. tims one wont lift the air above your head IMHO . the playskool , westfield one can if adjusted high enough. adhawkins Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 I'm not sure Will Maskell is still doing them, I know he sold the car he was in the middle of building fairly recently... Andy Quote
Bean Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 I'm 5 foot 11, have westfield race seats in a narrow body. Will be fitting the playskool screen in the next week or so, did a trial fitting with no visibility problems. Quote

Looks like I will end up with playskool one. Martin Quote
Molydood Posted March 24, 2006 Author Posted March 24, 2006 hey, bean, let me know how the conversion goes, I might need some help! Quote
Bean Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 hey, bean, let me know how the conversion goes, I might need some help! Will do, first day of fine dry weather and I'll be outside tinkering. Quote
Blatman Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 Remember Westfield racing seats raise your an inch or so above the floor. The R500 alike seats sit you lower in the car... Quote
