salexander Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 Having got a nice Brian James trailer recently, I thought I should think about insuring it. My car policy will cover it for 3rd part damage when being towed but not when it is sitting at my house. I've tried my house insurers, but they aint interested in covering it. I know that a few trailers get nicked from houses, so I would rather have it covered - what do the rest of you guys do? Quote
adhawkins Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 Stoneways are about the only people I could find to insure a trailer without insuring an associated car. Mine costs about 70 quid on a 1200 quid trailer I think. There has been a fair amount of discussion about this, dare I suggest a search? Andy Quote
greenandmean Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 stoneways did mine too via local broker, £72. Quote
Tortoise Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 Just been quoted £36.50 on a £750 value Woodford trailer by Stoneways on the net. Quote
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 Mines done through my tow car insurer (CIS) for an extra 5% on the policy. Covers full value of trailer and any vehicle towing it not just the one on the policy. John Quote
PeterW Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 Used Stoneways internet process but could only get info on exclusions. Have emailed them to request copy of policy. I'll post the reply here. Quote was £71. Peter Quote
