slippy Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 I think owning a Westfield qualifies us all as suckers for Boy's toy's Quote

Robandcolin Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 Me and Dad are terrible. Needed to felt tile a roof so bought a nail gun Everything in sight got nailed down for a couple of days The other day we needed to replace some floor bards so Dad bought a Screw gun. Now everything gets screwed down. First year in the speed series this year so we bought a LDV Flat bed chassis with a hydraulic operated tilting box on the back to put the westy in. It was originally made for the williams F1 team in 1990 to carry show cars in. Rob Quote

matthew h Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 Can't beat having good toys, the older you get the more expensive they get! Years ago I was over the moon with a £200 bike, now you add a naught and double it as you obviously can't ride the mountain bike on the road.............. Quote
jeff oakley Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 Years ago I was over the moon with a £200 bike, You should speak to NASA on this, they spent billions of dollars to do the same I am a tool freak as well as a toys sort of guy. I built wooden paths and decking out of two inch thick reclaimed timber so I could buy a chain saw, petrol of course. I even have a huge sand blaster, bought for xmas years ago, it will get used one day. Quote
ljsanders Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 ..... and you don't call owning a Westfield, a toy??? I got an ipod, a Roku Soundbridge, a couple of petrol RC cars, handheld GPS... but I think my westy is the best toy of all. Quote
vodkatart Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 R/C Petrol cars are pretty good fun but, by god you need some empty space to run them. Bought a tamiya TNX Car bl**** hell its fast but great fun:D Quote
ljsanders Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 Yeah you do! And they are damn easy to flip and break as well.... I like fiddling and experimenting with it almost as much as taking it for a blast around a car park. Its also a pretty expensive hobby. When it costs 10 quid for a pair of tyres, and 13 quid for few litres of fuel. I can buy a big tyre and put more petrol in my car for that!! Quote
