True, but it means when windows dies, and it will, you can just wipe the C partition and re-install windows without worrying about loosing any data. Quote

Yes, by all means have a separate drive for data but not for installing your 'programs'. Lose your o/s and as Andy says you'll need to reinstall everything anyway so no point in a seprate 'program' drive. Just make sure you don't use the defaults when you use the old 'File\Save' and make sure it all goes on your data drive. Mike Quote
