Me n the missus are up Darlington way for the SS meet Easter weekend. We've decided to make a weekend of it rather than me go up there on me todd just for one day.

If anyone from round those parts can suggest things to do/places to go on the Saturday/Sunday it would be appreciated :)

Not too worried about things to do in the evenings, i'll be able to work that out for meself... hotel accomodation n all that  ;)

The Spa or whatever it is called nowadays is a nice Hotel and restaraunt, its between the circuit and Darlington. If you want a cheap and cheerful hotel, there is the White horse in Darlington. For good guest house accomodation there is Chequers (a pub) and Clow Beck House (multi award winning) in walking distance of the circuit

In Darlo you can visit the delights of the Railway Museum or even the Brick Train :D  :D Loads of shopping for SWMBO  :( However if you work it right there is a Sprint at Teesside on Friday, apparently a Track day at Croft on the Saturday and Harewood on the Sunday. Im organising a meal at the Chequers on the sunday night - please add name to the other thread if interested.

Cheers Mark

Already have the hotel sorted, we're staying at the Croft Hotel. It was cheap! :)

Have booked a couple of places at your organised meal

As much as I wouldn't mind doing 3 solid days of motorsport photography, I don't think SWMBO would find it too appealing. I may have to comprimise there and be dragged around the shops for a few hours. Thanks for the heads up though

For something a little different there's a bird of prey centre that does plenty of hands on and an entertaining show at the Birds of Prey Centre, Sion Hill Hall, Kirby Wiske, Thirsk, North Yorkshire

High Force is 'reasonably close' Waterfall and at this time of year is well worth a look with the snow we have recently had etc ;)

Thanks for the replies. I might give ICI a miss, another time maybe. The waterfall and birds of prey could be worth a look though :)
