But What happened?  ???

I want to know if the insurance company paid for the Jag or not, is this covered by insurance? ?

Or did the guy just have to cover the cost himself or what ? ?

And the sad fact is that our insurance premiums go up to pay for this madness. Everyone is so scared of being sued they take action like this. Whats the betting that as soon as the compensation cheque for the "victim" was in the bag a miraculous recovery took place. :bangshead:

Can't believe the Jag driver was so stupid. The *last* thing you do is move a casualty. Unless they've stopped breathing, cover them up to keep them warm, and leave them alone. Just talk to them and wait for the paramedics...

Maybe the injured party was walking around etc when the Jag driver pulled over to help.

He offered/suggested the guy should sit in his car while help came.

Once they arrived he complained of back pain, so they explained the situation to the Jag driver, he agreed there was no choice but to cut the roof off and let them do their job.

Can you imagine what would of happened if they crippled the guy due to not cutting the roof off?.

Seriously, i don't care what car i had, they could cut off whatever they wanted if i was told it may save someones life or quality of life.

Sorry, but do we know enough of the facts to say that? I climbed out of my own mangled car so high on adrenalin that I didn't really notice three broken ribs and injuries to both heels that stopped me from walking within thirty minutes. Having made sure I was no longer trapped in my car. (Drivers side doors all jammed) I sat on the back seat till the ambulance arrived, which I walked to, (well OK sort of limped/staggered by that time. At which point a horrified ambulance crew properly immobilised me. I know with hindsight I shouln't have been moving around. But as I say during those first minutes I pretty much felt nothing.

(Bit scary though when the doctors finally released me from the spinal board an hour or so later, by that time I couldn't move unaided.)

ASSIST THE INJURED PERSON FROM THEIR CAR AND PLACED THE PERSON ONTO THE BACK SEAT OF HIS

Suggests he helped him out of the crashed car. Had the victim had a serious spinal injury, merely moving him from where he was could have had dire consequences. Bending him around to put him into another car is just compounding the situation. Unless you're *absolutely sure* that a casualty is safe to move, you leave them where they are unless the are in iminent danger from fire/chemicals/etc, or have stopped breathing...
