Sam Posted March 5, 2006 Author Posted March 5, 2006 Now now boys!! Blatters maybe you could lighten up on those of us who have less experience.....This is, of course, newbies section. However i would have to agree with your statement on bolting into thin air....Is there any specific torque setting for this? Quote

I have read on this board somewhere between 85-115nm but most tend to go for 100nm or 65ft/lbs I believe. Quote

As for lightening up, if you thought that was harsh you must have had a really sheltered life There are just times when there is no substitute for calling a spade a spade, and I will continue to do so. Sometimes the best way to get info through to a newbie is to make it stand out... Quote
Sam Posted March 5, 2006 Author Posted March 5, 2006 I have been told!! Thanks Blatman......... The voice of knowledge and experience!! Quote
Blatman Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 I have a little bit of knowledge. But I've owned a Westfield since 1989, and I've two since Y2K. One is an original narrow body, one is a late, detachable arched wide body. One I race, one is a road car. Neither has ever needed "professional" help (so far) 'cos I do the vast majority of work myself, and what I can't do myself I get help with from a former F1/Le Mans/Porsche GT/current A1GP engineer in the shape of my brother.... So I have a *lot* of experience, and excellent back up when experience isn't enough And I've gained another 8 hours experience today... Quote
