scooby Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 Do i have to have FIA kill switch on my car for the SS ? Quote
adhawkins Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 No. The method of stopping the engine (i.e. your ignition key) does need to be marked up though. This is covered in the Beginners Guide (section 6). Andy Quote
scott beeland Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 Nope. Your ignition key will do the job. You just need to have a clearly displayed sticker adjacent to the ignition key showing which rotation direction is "OFF" If you do want a cut off switch it has to cut ignition and fuel pump While you're at it have you put some yellow tape/heat shrink on your battery negative lead? Edited to say the boy Hawkins got in while I was typing a not very concise reply Quote
slippy Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 Depends what class you are I think if your in a 'bobby basic' road going class I think your ignition is sufficient as long as it's labelled. Awaiting one of the guru's to shoot me down Quote

Martin Keene Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 If you have a kill switch at the minute and it is not an FIA then you might want to replace it with an FIA or bin it altogether. Scutineers (spelling?) have the right to check it's function and an non-FIA won't pass. Quote
Mark Stanton Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 It is NOT a mandatory requirement for road-going class cars Think of all the extra weight Quote
Blatman Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 Great. LOOK OUT EVERYONE, MAUDE'S JUST CUT THE CHEESE... Fartarse... Quote
