knipex Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 I know that when I origonally joined a few years back that I was allowed to pay via Paypal as a "once off". I did not renew my member ship for the simple reason that for me to get to a bank and get a sterling draft (you wont take my Euro's) is a complete pain in the ass and would involve taking time off work. I also know that since then there have been many discussion regarding online joining but I dont know if any decison has been made and the last refference I can find to it was in a thead last September. As I previously stated I have no problem paying a few quid extra for the service. So any update Quote
adhawkins Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 So any update The wheels are in motion. Unfortunately, there don't seem to be enough hours in the day at the moment Andy Quote
CedricTheBrave Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 I would hazard a guess that you would increase subscriptions quite considerably if this was implimented. IMO Quote
JohnCh Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 I have the same problem here in the States. A special trip to the bank who will then charge me an additional $12 service fee for the draft. Make the payment electronic and I will join that same day! -John Quote
a4gom Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 If my calcs are correct it will cost the club 96.5p everytime someone pays £22.50 via paypal due to paypal charges. To cover this the member would need to pay £23.5 to ensure the club got its £22.50 after paypal charges. Once the club has set up a paypal account there is no charge to withdraw / transfer the funds into the clubs bank account if the amount is over £50, 25p per transaction if less than £50. So to make sure the club gets its money you would really need to pay £23.76 Cheaper for those abroad yes but everyone knows someone with a cheque book and a 1st class stamp is only 32p Quote
a4gom Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 OK send it second class for 23p and buy an envelope. Quote
Westy1700 Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 make it an option for those that want to pay a quid for the priviledge...then its a win win especially for the overseas bods and more may join.... Quote
