Blatman Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 two, it's England, I'll freeze to death You are *seriously* over estimating the usefulness of the heater if you think it will actually keep you warm... Quote
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 Just been for a blat over the Cat & Fiddle, roads clear bar a few damp spots, plenty of snow around in the fields though and pretty cold. With a decent warm wind stopping jacket and a couple of layers underneath, a pair of windstopping cycle gloves and my helmet, I was lovely and toastie warm. Well, except for the back of my neck. (Keep meaning to get one of those tube things bikers wear, to solve that one). Quote
MAT1800 Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 It does help.......or at least it's nice to think it's keeping you warmer. Particularly with the side screens, keeps your legs mooving at least. It's the constant gale blowing against the back of your neck that gets to me... Quote
KerryS Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 On a nother note I was a little miffed to find out that the heater is now an option because of the standard fitment of a heated windscreen. One, I don't like the little squiggly lines in the heated widows and two, it's England, I'll freeze to death and three, it's gonna cost about another £250 for the option Get above 30 mph (assuming no hood) and you're heating the outside world. The transmission keeps left leg nice and warm tho' kerry Quote
nikpro Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 Have to say; at traffic lights I have to turn my heater off as it gets my feet to warm - it does help. Quote

lukeyboy Posted February 25, 2006 Author Posted February 25, 2006 two, it's England, I'll freeze to death You are *seriously* over estimating the usefulness of the heater if you think it will actually keep you warm... Hey, when I took the demo car out I could feel the heater working, that's enough for me. I've been used to climate control for years. Let me have some luxury I've just chopped in my old car so I've put half the money into a 04 Corsa SRI (picked up today), I now have the cash for modules 4 and 5 and a car that looks like it will fit well in at a max power supermarket car park meet.
