lukeyboy Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 Does anyone know where the instruction are / when they are sent out for installation of front and rear roll bars? I can't see any ref to them in the siew build manual or sport 2000 engine manual? Do they send them out with the actual parts or do you have to ask for them? I also wondered if there were any differences for the installation of the AP Racing upgrade to the brakes (no ref to those either). I've been reading up in preparation for the delivery of the first 2 modules in next couple of weeks. I don't want to get all the parts and then find out I can't tinker and start building Quote
Barry Ashcroft Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 The roll bar fittment was in a seperate supplement. I probably have a copy if you have a fax no. Barry or I could scan it for you Quote
Dargy Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 The roll bar instruction where in the the back of my manual under suppliments and optional extras. Quote
Glen H Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 The roll bar instruction where in the the back of my manual under suppliments and optional extras. Mine too Have you gone for the new 'inboard' front ARB?? if so then they do have seperate instructions for this. Quote
Darren B Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 The factory gave me a copy of the 1800 build manual, as well as my SEIW one, as it had ARBs, RAC roll bar and other extra fitment bits in the back of it. Quote
ljsanders Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 I'd like a copy of the additional supplement as well please :-) The car I just bought recently came with almost every optional extra under the sun, ARBs, RAC rollbar, the lot, but I've only got the 1800Q/Zetec Manual. So if someone could PM me... how many pages is it? or if someone in the Hants & Wilts has a copy, can they bring it along with them on Sun 26th? Thanks! Lee Quote
MAT1800 Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Hi All, I'd also like a copy of the RAC bar installation if there is an electronic copy avaliable. Pleeeeeasssseeee! Mat. Quote
Mark B Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Hi All, I'd also like a copy of the RAC bar installation if there is an electronic copy avaliable. Pleeeeeasssseeee! Mat. Matt, I don't have an electronic copy of the rac bar installation, but I can do you a photcopy & give it to Karl W or Kirk, they could pass it on at the Manchester meet the week after next. Let me know if you need it. Cheers, Mark. Quote
MAT1800 Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Cheers Mark, I might actually be able to pick it up at the Cheshire meet, if the weather improves! I'm itchin' to get the car out again..... Quote
Mark B Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Ok mate, I'll do you a copy in readiness.... Get that car out! (he says when his is still in bits! ) Cheers, Mark. Quote
lukeyboy Posted February 24, 2006 Author Posted February 24, 2006 I've just checked my manuals again. I have the se / seiw construction manual and the Sport 2000 engine supplement. I now have a copy of the inboard ARB suppliment (which is not as good in description and diagrams as the original build manual), but I can't see any sections relating to optional extras!! i.e. wide track, rear anti roll bars or any other extra. On a nother note I was a little miffed to find out that the heater is now an option because of the standard fitment of a heated windscreen. One, I don't like the little squiggly lines in the heated widows and two, it's England, I'll freeze to death and three, it's gonna cost about another £250 for the option Quote

jonansett Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 I have just fitted front and rear inboard anti roll bars- dont think there is instructions for the rear- but westfield did send me pics of a completed one- One thing to watch out for- as i have widetrack, standerd shocks and inboard arb, is the shock fowling one of the nuts holding the arb. I spaced the shock with two washers on one side, rather than one either side- and was sent a smaller nut by westfield- and had to cut the thread down holding that nut. None of that prob makes any sense..... but if you need a hand fitting it i can send you some pics of mine Quote
Tigger Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Makes sense to me Jon been there, scratched my head for hours, now done it with a few calls to Mark Walker. Tigger Quote
