This May, my friend & I are planning a trip to the Nurburgring.

I am taking my A4 2.5TDi QS, towing the Megablade on the Minno Trailer.

My friend owns a fabrication Workshop & we are making a motorbike bike holder to fit on the "A" frame  - i.e. the bike the sit between the nosecone of the Westie & the Winch of the trailer.......

Photos to follow.......

Look out for the nose weight... you may need to reverse the Westy onto the trailer to get the balance right...  ???

Cheers Mike, Never really thought of that.

I just thought it wouldnt be a problem as it all weighs within the Minnos Max.

425kg - Westie + 180kg for the Duc

Suggest you get the noseweight, ie the load on the ball, about 75kg. You can check this fairly easily with a stick of wood in the hitch and the bathroom scales.

Dont turn too sharply when reversing either!!

I suspect you'll struggle to get the nose weight low enough. With these trailers the wheels tend to be quite far back on the trailer bed. So I think you'll struggle to get enough weight behind the axle line in order to balance it out.

Worth doing an experiment with the nose weight gauge and a fat bloke stood on the a-frame before going to the hassle of welding/fabbing something up.

You'd hate to jack-knife on the autobahn and loose both your toys!
