RS WST Posted January 30, 2006 Author Posted January 30, 2006 Looks like an 80's throw back IMO Quote
Blatman Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 what engine did the FW400 have in it? 1.8 K series IIRC. Dash looks a bit like the new Caterham CSR option. I wondered where they got the inspiration from Quote
tex Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 front nose cone looks very nice - back end - hmmm too much like an elise - but poorly designed.. that FW400 - three wheel nuts?? what hubs are they from - gotta be french.. Quote
scooby Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 FW400 Courtsey of Kirk1.6se Look at Buzz in the pic with the Stella. Memorys eh Buzz " STELLA" Quote
Bananaman Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 So if you happen to crack your nose cone you have to replace the whole thing............ Sounds expensive.................. Front end looks very sexy but the rear looks over designed, i don't mind the lips top and bottom but all thoughs recesses for lights etc. .......IMHO Quote
scooby Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 Been looking again at this and to be honest I DONT LIKE IT. It looks GAY and anyone who buys it will be very sad indeed............. Quote
Rory's Dad Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 ... and it look like an unchanged FW400 bonnet/nose cone - so nothing new ... The rear just looks stupid - Westfields are not about styling surely. IMO they would be better employed sorting out the bodge that is the standard/RAC roll bar on the existing car first ... Rory's Dad Quote
StuartMackay Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 I had a look at it in the factory a couple of weeks back, and in the flesh it is impressive........ roughly costed as a retrofit to my SEiw and it worked out approaching 2 grand...... dont quote me on this, but would be approx £1500 for panels plus new screen, dash doors, hood, rollbar(sic) and rear lights plus fitting...a good quality repaint will be a lot cheaper methinks. Oh yes I agree with the point made above about roll bar function/styling dangler up of standard car. It looks like a strawberry basket handle. Quote
Mark19800_0 Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 I think Westfield should sack their designer, Think he's been hanging around with the 'Max Power / Halfords' crew too much. Someone posted that it would be a bit bulkier, but knowbody said that cinderella was going to turn into a pig in 2006 Sorry, just don't like it at all. The dash looks like its been robbed off a kiddies play area or from butlins! Quote
Glen H Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 I think the plan was to use the Standard Scuttle and dash NOT the ones from the FW400. You could then fit a sreen as normal set up. Quote

The complete tub has to be replaced , a major operation Quote
