Mike dB Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Looks like the back of the Renault Spider to me! Quote
Karl Woolf Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Looks heavier to me Unless there doing it in carbon like the original Quote
Al Yupright Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 looks like FW400 body to me, just upsized a little. Agree! Predictable I suppose. Still, no bad thing... More interested in what the red bits are and what that framework hanging on the wall behind is for Quote
scruffythefirst Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 it look like it hinges up from the front - like the dax rush does.. The dax ones arent supposed to, just quite easy to modify so they do Quote

More interested in what the red bits are and what that framework hanging on the wall behind is for The frame in the back of the picture is what is left from the Boss of Westfields single seater race car that he crashed. The Red bodywork is from the same single seater, should have taken a pic of it as it has been reshelled / chassised. Quote
oioi Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 why the twin air scoops on the each side of the bonnet - surely it would be handed depending on inlet of engine? Quote
Glen H Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 I like it Will be keeping an eye on this until rebody time comes along That's exactly why I still haven't ordered my new Bodywork yet I've had similar pictures sent to me Direct from Westfield a couple of weeks, but was asked at the time not to post them, they were hoping to have the first demo ready for around Mid March (prabably in time for Total Kitcar live at Oulton Park). The bodywork is based on the FW400, with addition of the lighting pods to the rear and a boot space, the rear arches are part of the side panels, with the back panel being a seperate piece, standard Scuttle/dash, the bonnet side scooops are for cosmetic purposes only, not strictly designed to suit a deeper filter, and it is likely to need Widetrack. michaelcoombs Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 its certainly not my cup of tea I think its entering ugly stick / other kit car territory. I think they should stick to keeping it simple. The original narrow low line was/is the best looking in my opinion, narrow high line is ok but it all starts to go wobbly with the over weight looking wide body… seems to have lost all its sharpness. Now this is a step too far. Quote
Thrustyjust Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Went to the factory last week and stumbled upon this. Did you have your engine piccies on the parts counter? I was there too, checking my mate Dales re-chassis job. Quote
