PapaLazarou Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Holy cow... Must be relatively "quiet" in the car compared to on that bike though... Quote
a4drk Posted January 26, 2006 Author Posted January 26, 2006 7mpg Last Summer, i drove my A4 2.5TDi Quat Sport up to Crail with 2 other blokes - one in an M3 Cab & the other in a Porsche 997 / 911 3.8S - Absolutely hammering it all the way.... We filled the cars up in Edinburgh.. The M3 & 911 done 3 drag races & then we left...... On the way back home, the 911 had to fill up again!!! He averaged 6mpg!! - ouch... In total, the 911 got 70 miles to a tank. Quote

gadrego Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Just before Christmas I got undertaken by a German registered M6, was heading south down the (M6 coincidentally) and waiting behind a car that was refusing to budge in the outside lane, started to indicate to pull over and let the bimma past and the next thing I new, he was 100 yards ahead of me. Never seen anything accelerate that hard from those sort of speeds. Very impressive. Quote
amc_black Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Must have been de restricted by some back street techie as normally limited to 155mph like all German stuff. Awesome car though. Up in 7th gear and still pulling hard!! Quote
Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 Looked like about 7000rpm on the tacho and full scale on the speedo. Quote

JonnyBoy Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 would've been interesting to see him overtake a car doing a more 'regular' speed to get an idea of just how fast that really is! Quote
