PhilH Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 As i cant get to Le Mans again this year i want to organise a blat to somewhere else (boys and toys weekend).Have thought about Spa and have done Goodwood several times before. What are your recomends.?Its not forced to have a race track at the end of it,just a good blat and Sat beer. Cheers Phil Quote
Kevin Wood Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 I've been thinking about the Classic Le Mans. Probably won't do it this year due to an impending wedding but will do it sometime. If it's anything like the real thing but with less crowds and more interesting cars it'll be great. Anyone been? Kevin Quote
gadrego Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 West Coast of Scotland/Skye. Take some insect repellent and go as remote as you can to avoid the tourists. Or if you fancy going a little further, how about the Stelvio and the Italian Alps. Quote
gadrego Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Just spent New Year in Skye. Snow a bit too deep to take the Westfield but got as far as Mallaig last summer in the Westfield. Awesome roads but you always take a bit of gamble weather wise. Quote
jak Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 North Wales round Snowdonia - awesome in the tintop, can only imagine how much fun it would be in the Westy Quote
Blatman Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Normandy is nice. Lots of history, nice beaches, great roads, great food, and no Gatsos... Quote
Gromit Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Gotta agree, the roads on Skye are brilliant, especially the A855 from Portree to Uig, right round the top of the Isle. Crackin. Quote
scott beeland Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Maybe I'll take the Westfield up to Mull in June Quote
Gromit Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 It`ll be on the back of a trailer if you do, at the rate your getting it back together. Still it`ll be a nice run for the parts. Quote
nikpro Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 Go on a bike trip every year round the North West of scotland;Start at Fort William, Skye, Ullerpool,Betty Hill, and over to Orkney; amazing roads, unbelievable scenery - if you accept you are going to get wet then it's the best driving in europe. Quote
Paul M Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 Isle of Man. Unrestricted roads out side of towns. Quote
michaelcoombs Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 West Coast of Scotland/Skye. Take some insect repellent and go as remote as you can to avoid the tourists. Mmmmmm..... Loch Coruisk. Quote
